Our story

A practical approach to redesign

Since 2018, Tailor Wise has focused on remodelling garments with realistic planning and careful workmanship.

The studio was founded by Amina Shah to give clothing a longer life through alteration and redesign work that respects the original garment. We aim to preserve useful fabric and construction where possible, while being clear about the limits created by wear, damage, and available seam allowance.

Every project follows a structured path: enquiry, inspection, consultation, quote, approval, work, review, and collection. That approach helps customers understand scope before any remodelling begins and keeps each step aligned with the garment itself.

We are especially suited to sustainability minded customers, vintage clothing owners, and people who want to keep meaningful garments in use. Original thread and trim matching is used where available, and redesign concepts are reviewed before work moves forward.
